Apple Market: pick-up instructions and policies

Thank you for supporting UBC Botanical Garden’s Apple Market with your purchase.

Please note due to grower shortages some apple orders may include substitutions.

During the checkout process customers will select a pickup date and time during the weekend of October 15-17. Orders will be prepared for pickup at the selected time.

Please arrive right at your scheduled pickup time so we can stay on schedule. We have 600 customers arriving to pick up orders. Please bring your ID and have your confirmation email on your mobile device or printed. If you do not have a mobile device or printing capabilities, please bring your order number with you when you come to collect your order.

Please note that, given the volume of orders, we cannot accept changes to pick-up times.  We appreciate your understanding.  If you are unable to pick up your order at your selected date and time due to an emergency or illness, we will hold your order for pick up in the Shop until 4:30 pm on Saturday, October 23rd, but no later.  The purchase price for all orders not claimed by that date will be forfeited and considered a donation to the Garden. IF ARRIVING BY VEHICLE:

ARRIVE: Pick-up will be in the Garden's parking lot with entrance via Old Marine Drive behind the Garden. Access to old Marine Drive is 1km southeast of the Botanical Garden's main entrance. Please bring ID and your pickup confirmation email (digital or printed) or your order number.

Display your LAST name clearly IN LARGE PRINT on an 8”x 11” paper placed on your dashboard and enter through the gate. You will be directed to your pick-up point.

RECEIVE YOUR ORDER: If arriving by vehicle, please STAY IN your vehicle, unlock/open your trunk or back door and a volunteer will place your order in your car. The volunteer will close your trunk or door. If you have purchased apple trees the volunteers will prep your order and will let you know when you can safely exit your vehicle to collect your tree(s). Please have the area in your vehicle where your trees will go prepared (seat folded down, a towel covering seat, etc). 

TAKE YOUR PRODUCTS HOME & ENJOY: You will be directed to leave the pickup area via the Garden's front entrance onto SW Marine Drive.

IF ARRIVING ON FOOT OR BY BICYCLE:

ARRIVE: Pick-up will be in the Garden's parking lot with entrance via the normal front entrance into our parking lot. Please bring ID and your pickup confirmation email (digital or printed) or your order number. You will be directed to your pick-up point. Please be extra careful as we are expecting a large volume of car traffic on pick-up days.

RECEIVE YOUR ORDER: A volunteer will prepare your order for you. Please maintain a 2-metre distance from volunteers and other customers.
TAKE YOUR PRODUCTS HOME & ENJOY: You will be directed to leave the pickup area via the Garden's front entrance onto SW Marine Drive.
