Reserve before you arrive: Reserve online before you arrive to avoid disappointment as popular times are selling out. Registration tickets are available on-site if spots are still available.

Welcome back to Nitobe Memorial Garden!

Garden Members, Friends of the Garden Volunteers, UBC Cardholders, UNA Cardholders and Indigenous Peoples, please register for an entry time on this page.

Tickets will be available online in 30-minute entry time slots. We encourage visitors to stay for a 25-minute visit.
Note: Nitobe Memorial Garden is CLOSED June 19 for maintenance.

**Please note the change in ticketing price for Nitobe Garden admission starting April 1, 2021 and extended hours of operations. **

Hours of Operation:
Wednesday-Sunday: 10 am-5 pm (last entry time at Nitobe Garden is 4:30 pm)
Closed between 12:30 pm – 1 pm.
Monday-Tuesday: Closed

All visitors are required to book an entry time in advance. There are no on-site ticket purchases.

You will need to present your ticket and membership/UBC card (as relevant) on arrival. Tickets may be presented digitally on a mobile device or printed on paper. For sustainability reasons, we encourage digital tickets. Unfortunately, if you do not hold an entry ticket, you will not be able to enter the Garden.

Tickets are only available online for a specific entry time. If you miss your entry time, you will not be permitted entry.

If you would like to change or cancel your entry time, please call us at 604 690 3895 (Botanical Garden) or 604 834 4908 (Nitobe Garden). You can also email us at and we will get back to you between Monday-Friday 10 am - 2 pm.

Members and UBC Cardholders are required to show their membership or valid UBC card on entry. Friends of the Garden (FOG) volunteers are required to wear their nametag.

If the time you would like to visit is not available, please do not come on-site, as you will not be permitted entry. Please choose another entry date.

All children under 13 must be accompanied by a guardian over 18 years of age.

A service fee will be added to each ticket. This fee allows us to offer ticketing from an online platform to ensure that we can manage capacity and provide our visitors with the safest, touch-free experience.
