Meet Your Expert Teacher - Allison Luke:
Allison isn't just an instructor; she's a Red Seal Certified horticulturist who went through the Horticulture Training Program as a student! With a gardening journey that sprouted in 2007, Allison has cultivated her expertise over nearly two decades in a mix of public horticulture (VanDusen Botanical Garen and Queen Elizabeth Park) and private industry. Prior to becoming the principal instructor at UBC, she was the head gardener for The Arbutus Club while at the same time delivering courses in the Residential Landscape Technician Program at Burnaby Community & Continuing Education. As a horticulturist, teacher, and artist, Allison's passion for all things green, coupled with her lifelong curiosity, shapes a teaching style that is both comprehensive and down-to-earth. Prepare to be equipped with technical prowess and practical skills, setting you on a path to carve your niche in the industry.
