Join us for a walking tour in the beautiful UBC Botanical Garden to learn about how gardens are adapting to climate change and making long-term decisions to support trees, plants, and biodiversity. With hands-on activities, participants will learn about strategies and approaches for protecting nature in a changing climate. 

This event is outdoors and will proceed rain or shine - please dress for the weather and wear closed-toed shoes! 

Guides 

Dr. Tara Moreau is the Associate Director of Sustainability and Community Programs at UBC Botanical Garden where she oversees educational programs, sustainability initiatives, and community-based research.  

Zahra Chan-Khan is the Sustainability and Community Programming Assistant at UBC Botanical Garden where she develops, delivers, and reports on programming such as educational tours and community events 

Accessibility: Please note that this is a walking tour with very few locations to sit throughout the tour. 

Cancellation Policies: UBC Botanical Garden does not have the capacity to refund tickets. If the performance is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, ticket holders will receive a gift card for the value of their tickets that can be redeemed for UBC Botanical Garden and Nitobe Memorial Garden admission and in The Shop in the Garden
