Welcome back to UBC Botanical Garden’s Annual Lunar New Year Market, celebrating the Year of the Snake. All are invited to experience the cultural traditions and connect with the Asian Garden, with something for everyone of all backgrounds to enjoy.
Our market will feature over 40 local makers and food trucks. UBC Botanical Garden will also offer fresh auspicious flowers, dried floral arrangements, and potted plants for sale. Enjoy a photo booth by Dang Good Booths, an exciting lion dance and kung fu performance by the UBC Kung Fu Club, and participate in workshops like calligraphy, sweet dumpling dessert-making and more. Tickets include admission to the garden, where you can learn about both cultural and horticultural wonders.
Tickets also include admission to the Asian Garden.

Location: UBC Botanical Garden, 6804 SW Marine Drive
(Please note: there is no parking available on-site. There is paid parking available around campus and the closest parkade is Thunderbird Stadium).
Cost: $8.88 after tax and fees - limited tickets available. Free for children aged 5 and under.
Workshops: There will be workshops available at the event. Please purchase tickets here. Admission tickets are also required for workshops.

- Discounts, Garden admission tickets, UBC/UNA Card Holders, and Garden Membership do not apply on event days
Cancellation Policies: UBC Botanical Garden's Lunar New Year Market is a not for profit event. We do not have the capacity to change tickets for a different day or refund tickets. If the market is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, ticket holders will receive a gift card for the value of their tickets that can be redeemed for UBC Botanical Garden and Nitobe Memorial Garden admission and in The Shop in the Garden
